Impedance and power targets stay local. No amplifier is connected.

Driver nominal impedance, target attenuation, input power, preferred series, and search range are used only for L-pad calculations on the current page. LPadMatch reads no audio, connects to no amplifier or measurement hardware, and accesses no component inventory.

Resistive steady-state model, not crossover validation

The tool assumes a resistive load and sinusoidal steady-state power to solve exact Rs/Rp for nominal constant input impedance, then returns 24 jointly scored attenuation/impedance candidates from E12/E24/E96. Real driver impedance varies with frequency, voice-coil temperature, and enclosure. The tool does not model crossover interaction, phase, inductance, back EMF, electrical damping, program peaks, amplifier limiting, component tolerance/tempco/parasitics, cooling, ventilation, or failure modes.

Refreshing or closing discards inputs. CSV contains preferred values, actual attenuation, input impedance, errors, and branch dissipation; reports and optional local checkpoints read the visible summary. Resistor wattage must not equal calculated dissipation; allow substantial margin for program peaks, enclosure temperature, ventilation, and maker derating curves.

These values never contain inputs, files, or results; the current site also keeps a local compatibility copy.

Local report studio

The report studio reads only the workbench’s currently visible result summary for local preview, Markdown copy, JSON download, printing, and a SHA-256 fingerprint. It never reads input controls or original files and is not persisted unless you choose to download it.

Optional local checkpoints

Only when you explicitly choose Save does the tool write the visible result summary, time, and optional short label to this site’s browser storage, up to five entries. Imported files and input-control contents are never stored; you can export, restore same-tool checkpoints, or clear them at any time. Imports are limited to 128KB and validate the tool, timestamp, summary, and label of up to 80 characters.
